The Oktoberfest in Munich from September 20 to October 5, 2008:

Travel tips

"A Safe Oktoberfest for Girls and Women"

Have fun - make contacts - celebrate together. That's how the Oktoberfest is supposed to be! However some of these male contacts are pushy and unwanted by women. Here are a couple of tips to make the visit to the Oktoberfest carefree and without trouble:

How to get to Oktoberfest:

We highly recommend using public transport (underground or suburban trains)
Take line U3 or U6 to Goetheplatz or Poccistrasse
or take line U4 or U5 Theresienwiese or Schwanthaler Höhe
or take suburban train to Hackerbrücke

The walk to the Oktoberfest entrance takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Underground and suburban train schedules:
weekdays: every 5 minutes until midnight
evenings and weekends: every 20 minutes until at least 1:00 am
